Shred those old papers here!

How about cleaning out your files?  Get rid of those old papers and have piece of mind.  Year round document destruction services are available at Eggleston Services, 3525 North Military Highway, Norfolk VA 23513, phone 757.962.2189. Hours: 8:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday thru Friday.  Go inside the building and tell the person at the desk you are here to drop of documents for destruction.  Someone will bring a large blue recycling bin (similar to the curbside recycling bins in Virginia Beach) out to your car, help you unload, place a lock on the container, and take it away. You won't have to lift a finger!  The charge for a full bin is $30, $15 for a half-bin, and so on...  I recommend you gather your documents, tape the boxes, head over to Eggleston and provide an opportunity to help the local disabled community and have piece of mind that your documents will not lead to identity theft.  This is an ISO certified shred facility and provide you a receipt AND follow up with a certificate of destruction the date the documents are destroyed.  Make sure those important papers do not result in identity theft, use Eggleston's service and support the local handicap.  Money well spent for peace of mind.

How can I properly dispose of a worn American Flag?

You can drop off unserviceable flags at two Virginia Beach locations:

(1) 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, in a box located in the lobby of at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 4560 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, phone (757) 495-4211.

(2) Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 392, 2408 Bowland Pkwy just off London Bridge Rd (behind the Blue Horseshoe Tattoo).  They have a receptacle outside their main entrance exclusively for unserviceable flags - looks like a trash can, but has big sign that says "Unserviceable Flags Only”.
